Memorial Day 2012 and it's history

I have never served in the military but my dad and his two brothers did (Korea and WWII respectively).

My Uncle John was killed in a battle in Belgium days before The Battle of the Bulge and my Uncle Frankie got shot while serving with General MacArthur liberating the Philippines. My dad was fortunate that he did his service and was able to come home safely.

As a result, I have always held the people who serve in the military in high regard.

Today, in honor of those who have served proudly and honorably, I wish my sincerest thank you.

I also would like to share how this tradition came about so that when you are asked by someone you will be able to tell them and perhaps impart gratitude to others for the sacrifice of those who served and in some cases gave the ultimate: http://preview.tinyurl.com/ul8l
