The Boston Globe has a story in today's paper that MA,RI and CT may be creeping toward drought conditions. Only two rivers (The Connecticut River and The Swift River) are at or above normal levels for this time of year and this has raised the level of concern among government types and the like.
Until recently this type of story may have gotten me to read a couple of paragraghs; however, now that I am fishing these bodies of water I fully understand the consequences. There isn't much I can do except raise the awareness of water conservation and practice it myself.
Here is the story: http://tinyurl.com/6o32bdf
