In case you were wondering......

I went on a Caribbean vacation with my family for the past 10 days and we all had a great time.

There was no fishing involved but I did see a few locals on St. Martin and St. Thomas fishing and engaged them in conversation to see if they had caught anything (they hadn't).

Hope to get back to fishing soon.

  2. Hey Howard.....I saw a ton of Bruins stuff on the cruise. I was celebrating but the Bruins weren't on the mind.

  3. Good to hear from you Ed...I was wondering where you were. I was out fishing the salt on Friday....what a skunking that was...I need some work on that front.

    Happy 4th of July.

  4. Hi Mike.....a long planned vacation took us away for 10 days.

Did you get out with Ken yet? It sounds like the fishing (i.e. catching) out on the EB is happening either early morning or evening.

Happy Fourth to you and your family too.

  5. Ed,
I did get out with Ken about a month ago. Fishing was slow but I did learn a lot about the river. I hope to get back to the Miller's soon but haven't managed to find the time.

  6. Mike....I have read Ken's blog and it does seem like it was slow; however, he posted the other day things are looking better.

I might get out there in the fall.

As for around here, the Shawsheen is very low. I have checked a couple of spots and I have never seen the water that low. I may go bass fishing this coming weekend in Harold Parker.

  7. It is odd but this season the only bass fishing I have done is with my son on Wahchusett reservoir...Usually I get out on the water by now. I hope to get a trout trip in soon...maybe this Friday or Thursday night...my work life has beena but topsy turvy so we will see.

  8. Work wouldn't be so bad if you got paid and you didn't have to show up. :)

    Good luck getting out soon.

  9. My wife and I got married in St Thomas...spent most of our time over in St John's, where I'm told there is some decent bonefish fishing. Like you, no fishing was done when I was there either, but it's definitely a fun place to be.

  10. Hi Sanders.....that is a heck of a place to get married. There were about six wedding being performed on different islands as we cruised about. When the kids were little we (my wife & I) went to St. John's and had a good time but it was before I was into fishing. I am hoping to get down there some day and do some bone fishing.
