Wandering still...........

I was in NYC Wednesday and I was down on Wall Street so I took this picture.

It had been a some years since I was at the World Trade Center so I figured that I would head over there to see the Freedom Tower. I love the spirit of this country!

Today I headed down the Cape (Falmouth MA actually) and after I did what I had to do for work I decided to head to a kettle pond (created during the Ice Age) that had been stocked with brookies, browns, rainbows. I didn't have any luck but it was nice to find a new fishing hole.

The water was crystal clear.

Except for a northern wind this was a pretty nice day.

I had to climb back up this with no fish on the stringer.

I also found out that the state has stocked the river by my house. I may go there around sunset tonight to see if I can catch a rainbow or two. If I don't have any success, then I will be out the door at sunrise and back on the bank. Afterwards I will be joining my brother-in-law to go to one of the stocked ponds.

For those who celebrate Passover or Easter (or both in some cases) then I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends.

  1. Thank you, I will have a good Easter weekend. I hope you slay a bunch of fish in the river down the street from your home. I went out bass fishing yesterday and was able to see the Freedom Tower from the water. It should be impressive once done.

  2. Happy holidays to you and your family Mac.

  3. I've never heard of a Kettle Pond. I finally found out that the Driftless area over by Western Wisconsin was made during the ice age too. Interesting how these two types of areas are good for trout fishing. Wonder what the reason is.

  4. Hi Mark......i have been told that because they are deep, cold, sandy with rocks they are great trout waters. Here is a more accurate description:

Hey Howard......thanks and same to you.

Savage......I can't wait until the tower is finished too. It will be impressive.
