A year ago today...........

I joined the fly-fishing blogosphere.

It took one week but I was found by RD and Howard (aka Cofisher) and then Mel and Owl. I then was lucky to have Alan (brktrt) find this blog because I in turn found his. I also have had the pleasure to meet Mike C at a local fly-tying show.

All were kind enough to respond and welcome me into the blogger world. Because of their followers I gained "followers" and it has been a very positive experience throughout the year.

When I started this blog I never would have thought that my blog would be read by anyone never mind by people all over the world. Over 4600 people have read posts over the year and that is unbelievable. I realize that people have more followers and more visits to their blogs but I am stunned nevertheless.

The purpose was to learn about this sport and that has happened. I still have much to learn but the question if this was just a fade for me has been answered.

So I want to thank everyone for the help, encouragement and visits (even if you haven't left any comments yet).

Merry Christmas to all.

  7. Ed,
I found just found your blog. I guess 2012 has started out on the right foot for me already.

I see your from the Boston area? I grew up northeast of Boston in a town called Stoneham Ma. I moved to the Berkshires in far Western Ma to the city of Pittsfield.

Maybe we can meet on the water somewhere, sometime & wet a line?

    Anyway, Happy New Year.....DRYFLYGUY

  8. Hey DFG.....thanks for stopping by and writing.

I am quite familiar with Stoneham since I grew up in Greater Boston.

If I ever make my way out to the Swift I will let you know.

Happy New Year to you also.
