If you ever have a chance, then you need to go and watch the changing of the guard. It is a very solemn occasion.
It is also necessary to visit the Viet Nam Memorial (Wall), the Koren War Memorial (Korean War) and the World War 11 Memorial (WW11).
Finally.....we must never forget our MIA until they are all returned to their families.

I've never had the opportunity to visit Arlington, but my brother did. He took a bus tour and during the ride, they made one stop on the side of the road. He had his video camera running and the gravestone in front of him was for a preacher with the last name Kautz (same as ours). What are the odds?

ReplyDeleteMark..I am sure that some mathematician could do the calculation for you but I would have to guess that the odds are pretty high.
The one thing that you are reminded of quickly is that Arlington is an active cemetery (i.e. there are burials nearly every day there) and it is not a tourist attraction with concession stands, etc.
