I really wasn't going to post anything until I caught a trout fly-fishing but I just saw that I surpassed 1000 page views.
Now I know there are many others with many, many more pages views than that and certainly more followers but still I was pleasantly surprised by that number. Honestly, I started this blog not to get the most hits, the most followers, to espouse some preference of fly-fishing over spin casting, etc. but to find some people who would take pity on a newbie and point me in the right direction. I can say without hesitation that that has happened and I will be eternally grateful to those who have shared their knowledge with me. The only thing that I can do in return is to pass along that generosity to others when they express an interest in this sport.
I can only hope that people will continue to stop by and read about my adventures after I actually catch a trout.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by and please comment when the mood strikes.
Congrats on the milestone! If your trying for a first fish, pan fish will hit anything and like to hook themselves. Just think of it as practice for the trouty Big Game. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThe mood struck me while I was reading...really...I couldn't help myself. Congrats it only gets better. Well, maybe a little better when you catch that elusive trout.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anthony. I appreciate the suggestion and welcome aboard.
ReplyDeleteHoward...thanks for the all the advice and the congratulations. I can't wait to get out there.
I found a few other rivers not to far from my house (~15 miles) that look very promising. I found them reading one of the local blogs I follow.
The river by my house has stocked rainbows but I have read from more experienced fishermen (yes RD they were men) that there are brown and brookies in there. Time will tell if that is true.
