Wading into controversy........

OK folks............. I will be making my first purchase of waders in the near future and I am looking for the pros and cons of the two choices I have (one-piece with the boot attached versus stocking feet). I would also like to know some other brands besides Orvis, LL Bean or Cabellas. Thanks.

  1. I don't know what the two choices are Mac. I'm pretty sold on Simms Guide waders. Expensive but I've heard good things about customer service. Of course I was single when I bought them and couldn't afford them today. I would check Bailey's, Cabelas, Leland Fly Fishing (there is a link on my site) and Hodgeman. I've had good luck with them all.

  2. I'm still waiting for my first pair of Simms...but, until I have the extra bucks...Cabelas have been fine for me. I had a cheaper pair first and then upgraded to their top of the line...which have been great. Having the knee articulation (?) is kind of nice...easier to bend. 2 yrs and no problems...I think you would be happy with them.

  3. Oh, I forgot...Simms and William Joseph have the highest rankings out there, if you want to check them out too.
